The Studio | Trend Portrait
Our portrait studio is named Trend Portrait and is conveniently located in Shawnee, Kansas, approximately 15-20 minutes from Downtown Kansas City and nearly all area suburb communities. For small and large companies alike, I will happily travel to your location. My studio equipment travels well, and many clients love that I can come to them or even travel to locations all over the country.
Some people prefer to have their session photographed on location in Downtown Kansas City, or at their own place of business in their own environment. I love using your workspace and/or the city as a backdrop. It creates a sense of locality and builds trust for your brand.
What Kind of Headshots Are You Looking For ?
Whether you just need one or two images for yourself, or you have an entire team of employees & staff - small or large - I’ve got you covered with a smooth, seamless experience. Sessions are performed either in-studio or on-location and include expert lighting, professional direction and posing, as well as basic editing which includes exposure and color correction, smoothing of features, removal of temporary blemishes, and removal of stray hairs and lint.

Individual
Headshots
Your headshot is the first professional impression you display to the world. I don't take that lightly. Let’s create fabulous images you're proud to use. We will take several images for you to choose from and help you decide on the best.
Headshot sessions are $149 + tax and are done in-studio or on-location. The session fee includes one edited image ($90ea for additional), delivered via digital download in both high-resolution and web-resolution formats. For more comprehensive package options with more photos, we have several Personal & Business Branding collections to choose from.
Teams & Staff Headshots
Teams and Staff Headshots are perfect for small and large companies who wish to streamline their company headshots and give a professional, uniform appearance. They can be done in my studio or at your business location. (I also travel.) Pricing begins at $149 per-head, but for larger companies we can give you a personal quote or offer a day rate. Everyone is photographed on the same background with the same lighting for consistency and professionalism. Choose a simple background that compliments your website or brand aesthetic, or perhaps an "environmental" look using your business location or community as the backdrop.

Photography
We offer a unique, enhanced experience for photographing headshots at conferences, expos, annual meetings, and workshop events. Let me walk you through our expert process of delivering high quality, professional headshots to your attendees. We provide company-branded advanced signups, immediate individual selection and delivery via personal galleries, and quick turnaround.
We also provide editorial style event coverage for dinners, receptions, banquets, and galas. It sets your company apart and creates an unforgettable experience for your attendees.

I’ll send a Quote for Services outlining the options we discussed so you can choose the best level for your needs
Once you are booked and scheduled, I will work with you on location and background selections, as well as preparation & wardrobe tips
After the session, you will view a gallery of images to choose from. Your final selections are then fully edited and delivered via digital download

For individuals, you can choose on-site between several images we take OR I can send you a gallery of images so you can take your time deciding. For teams and staff, you will choose your favorite image(s) on site real-time. This is the most efficient way for multiple individuals at one sitting.

Yes, companies normally tell us how many images their people are allowed. If you would like to purchase more, you’re free to do so. We will simply bill you separately for the extra image(s).

In most cases, yes. It depends on where the images were taken and the lighting used, but in most all cases we can match the look. If it isn’t able to be done, we will let you know.

If you would like multiple background options, or to have the headshots extracted and placed onto different backgrounds, we can do that. Depending on the request, there may be an additional fee. This would be quoted separately.

Basic edits refer to color and exposure correction for consistency, removal of obvious lint, smoothing of hairlines and flyaways, teeth whitening and softening of blemishes and fine lines. Further extensive retouching may require an additional retouching fee, such as: removal of objects, head swaps, composites and complex Photoshop work.

We take note of backgrounds, lighting, and equipment settings so that when you send us retakes and new hires, the images are consistent. If the original photos are done on-location, we will make sure to take “environmental” reference photos of the background and location so we can duplicate the images correctly.
